Island Magic in Koh Phi Phi
The next morning, we set off on a boat trip to the iconic Maya Bay. We got up close with the monkeys by going into the water, which was an unforgettable experience. From there, we headed to another spot for some swimming and snorkeling. We saw incredible marine life, including baby sharks, clownfish, and moorish idols. The boat trip itself was a bit of a wild ride with a storm approaching, and we were all tossed around by the waves. To keep our spirits up, we belted out songs, laughing through the bumps.
The following morning, we set out for the long trek up to the Phi Phi Viewpoint, one of the island's most famous spots. The climb was steep, but the reward at the top was totally worth it. We just barely missed the rain, but as soon as we reached the summit, the clouds rolled in and trapped us at the top for about ten minutes. The views were still incredible, we could see the whole island laid out beneath us, but the weather had a bit of a dramatic flair, adding to the adventure. As the rain passed and the air cooled, we made our way back down, feeling like we’d earned the stunning view and a moment of peace before the storm hit.
Koh Phi Phi has certainly stolen my heart with its breathtaking beauty and unforgettable moments. I can't wait to return!
